A revitalized the Russian player won his maiden championship for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.

The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging season, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.

Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - led to him falling of the elite rankings and finally separating with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.

Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive win over opponent Moutet.

This represents Medvedev's maiden championship since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface from March of 2023.

Victory also indicates he has secured twenty-one championships at 21 various competitions.

"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters together, so to win a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.

Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and frequent reactions on the playing surface had prompted some to wonder if his capacity to perform at the highest level was concluded.

However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serve.

He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.

The competitors swapped break points in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his first ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a decider.

He saved 4 early chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.

Suitably, the winner earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
