Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first significant trophy of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he earlier was, and would definitely consider extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
