In a surprising collaboration that defies usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Material

Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Addition

This update also brings the game's newest free story content, titled "The Enigma."
